Alert: Saudi Gang Rape Victim Facing Miscarriage of Justice « Muslim Recovery

While I want everyone to at least cut and paste the sample letter, I’d like to point out that individualized letters work better.  Studies show that form generated campaign letters actually get viewed as one letter by the recipients of these letters.  At the very least make the subject line of your email unique while still staying focused on the issue.  If you possibly can .. use the letter as an example but create your own letter.

You can read more about the case at Saudi Jeans (a link in that posts that talks about upcomming Saudi legal reforms and the lawyer whose license was revoked),  Jahandost, Peaceful Muslimah (in regards to the lawyer whose license was revoked and another post that highlights the sentencing).  I’m adding Suroor’s post in regards to child molestation that takes place as well as this is an excellent post and another issue as to why we need to make sure we take action on all of these injustices.

Update:  Earlier today I recieved an email which stated that these kings and princes aren’t going to give a rat’s *$$ about our opinion and suggested we email the US state departement to get some sanctions imposed.  I stil think that the kings and princes should be emailed and those of us in the US should go ahead and ask for action from the US government that funds the Saudis.  Here are links to the US department of state, locating your senator and representatives.  I wish we could cc the kings and princes but the government has switched to a form generated email system which doesn’t give us that feature .. still you may want to email the kings and princes and let them know that you have emailed your government officials to do something.  I think that will get their attention.
