Obama has a new site out dedicated to fighting the smears against him called Fight The Smear. You can even see his birth certificate on the site. Visitors can help spread the truth with an on site form generated email. While the site is “Powered by the Truth and Supporters Like You” it is actually supported by you – you can even make a donation to “Fight the Smear”.
Lucky for the Republicans – they won’t have to support the truth:
“What you won’t hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon – that sees our opponents not as competitors to challenge, but enemies to demonize. Because we may call ourselves Democrats and Republicans, but we are Americans first. We are always Americans first. Barack Obama, June 3, 2008 ”
I think McCain supporters should be making donations to Obama’s truth campaign. I mean let’s face it – the smear campaign right now is being assisted by that party and those liars are hijacking that party .. you know, kind of like terrorists hijacking Islam? So what are you going to do about it?

In light of the 9/11 “Truth,” (link, link, link) , terrorist sympathizing (link), Communist (link, link), and anti-Semitic (link, link) ideology of Obama supporters, this appears to be more of a way to distract people from the fact that Obama has some seriously questionable followers.
He seems to be launching this new site in order to flush the cess-pool that is his old site down the gutter.

Oops, it looks like one of the 9/11 “”"Truth”"” pages has already been deleted.

OMG! Konservo – you mean to tell me that Obama actually supports freedom of speech!! No way, dude!
I may not like or agree with those links but I absolutely cherish freedom of speech. I mean – at the age of 14 – I was being told by people in a socialist country to tone down all my democracy vs. socialism talk – that I could end up in jail. So – to me seeing these links – on a Democratic Presidential hopefull’s site just adds to my love and pride of democracy. I mean just think about it – it’s the beauty of America! I would also like to note that I do think that there is a difference between freedom of speech and hate speech (in terms of trying to incite hatred).
Having said that, I also want to note that I see the links that you provided as being anti-semitic about as anti-semitic as I see your criticism of CAIR as being Islamophobic – and I think you understand that I don’t view your criticism as Islamophobic.
Also, while he may have some questionable followers – none of what you have posted causes the McCain campaign to have to go dispelling myths against McCain personally.
Some of the stuff comming from the Republican party is just dispicable.
Republicans who find these things distasteful should really be contributing to Obama’s new site and forwarding their reciepts to the McCain campaign to let him know where they stand on these tactics

Ah, but they are suppressing the posts, and by the time I had posted my first comment one of the links was already pulled.
The fact is, the Obama campaign’s “MyObama” forum has been full of craziness for past few months, the slightly right of center blog “Little Green Footballs,” which has numerous readers, searched the “MyObama” site with a magnifying glass and uncovered an astonishing amount of lies and hatred coming from the official Obama blogs. LGF also, incidentally, pointed out some web-design problems to the Obama campaign webmasters, for which LGF was thanked.
Also, some of the worst pages have been taken down (censorship? Whaa!? not from the Obama campaign), but this was only after complaints came in from Obama supporters who had been reading LGF.
LGF was “given props” for this too:
Link
But, don’t worry, Samaha, non-Obama supporters will donate their time and energy to the new Obama site too. They’re just not going to be distracted by it.

But the links that you have provided are still up?
The blog section is still up at his main site – where it is one of the tabs up on top main navigation – but his new site is only a button on the side bar.
A person can still join and create their own blog – maybe I should – oh never mind..
So, I don’t really see how this new site is going to detract attention from the blog site or how it will flush out the said “cess-pool”. LGF seems to be doing a fine job of flushing them out with the support of the Obama campaign. This is a good thing, no?
Like I said before – I support free-speech but I also do not support hate speech. I would imagine that it would be normal in certain cases to actually pull a post – where lies and hatred exist.
“But, don’t worry, Samaha, non-Obama supporters will donate their time and energy to the new Obama site too. ”
I still think they should put their money where their mouth is and take back the Republican party

Senator Obama is NOT a Dirty Muslim!
“What you won’t hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge,” says Mr. Obama, while denouncing statements of him being a Muslim as a smear. Why is the presidential candidate who claims to be religiously inclusive is treating the word “Muslim” as an insult? Apparently, it is OK for Mr. Obama to be associated with terrorists like William Ayers or racists like Jeremiah Wright, but God forbid somebody would call him a Muslim! No, he won’t stand for that kind of smear! We admit that most terrorists are Muslims, but most Muslims are not terrorists and the statement on Mr. Obama’s website is insulting to hundreds of millions of people.
How could a man who discards his family heritage in favor of political expediency be even considered for presidency of the United States? Where are all the so-called “Islamic civil rights groups” like CAIR, MPAC, ISNA, MAS, etc. who are quick to defend every Islamic terrorist, but are silent when Muslims in general are being denigrated? Would Mr. Obama have the same reaction if someone claimed that he was raised as a Jew? We sincerely doubt that.
Muslims Against Sharia demand immediate removal of “SMEAR: Barack Obama is a Muslim” statement from the official Barack Obama’s website as well as an apology for giving the word “Muslim” a negative connotation.

The allegations that Obama is a Muslim are smears. FOX didn’t run all those stories about him attending a radical madrassah out of journalistic integrity. The Republicans are trying to deny him the Islamophobe vote, which is unfortunately quite substantial.

Go Obama 08
Inshallah, he will win, and the US can begin to repair the damage that 8 years of Bush and the neocons have wrought.
Ya Haqq!
