Talk show host Pat Campbell (search) asked the Littleton Republican how the country should respond if terrorists struck several U.S. cities with nuclear weapons.

“Well, what if you said something like — if this happens in the United States, and we determine that it is the result of extremist, fundamentalist Muslims, you know, you could take out their holy sites,” Tancredo answered.

“You’re talking about bombing Mecca,” Campbell said.

“Yeah,” Tancredo responded.


Isn’t that a little like the extremist, fundamentalist Muslims nuking the Vatican for U.S. foreign policy?

Looks like the republicans can do worse than Dubya!

Meanwhile, it looks as though even our Democratic hopefull Barack Obama isn’t likely to keep from making the same mistakes that the current administration has made and is still continuing to make.

There was a time that I could support the war in Iraq.  That time passed sometime after I got sick and tired of waiting for WMD to be found, after 600,000 dead Iraqis and after the countless times our government has lied to us.  The hell if I’m going to wait for a single innocent Pakistani to die, a single US soldier to die before I say ENOUGH ALLREADY! 

Let’s see, Hillary got scratched off the list a good while back, now Obama …

    you know, this type of rhetoric actually works in many parts of the US. very sad.
